Two rounds. Different ways to test how students think.

NCAT is conducted in two online rounds. Round 1 focuses on multiple-choice assessment, while Round 2 combines MCQs with subjective creativity questions and questions on achievement motivation.

How the two rounds work

The current NCAT structure is for undergraduate students across three categories.

Round 1

Online qualifying round

Round 1 is conducted online. Two top-performing students from each category from each college, along with students scoring more than 90 percentile in Round 1, qualify for the next round.

Online final round

Round 2 is conducted online. Apart from MCQs, it includes subjective questions on creativity and questions to assess achievement motivation.
